Our ethos is to enable our learners to “Be all they can!”

It is funded to provide for up to 25 learners, aged between 11 and 16, who have:
- Autism spectrum disorder,
- Cognitive and learning needs,
- Specific learning difficulties,

- Communication and interaction needs or
- Speech, language and communication needs.
The school is not equipped to work with children who have more extreme social, emotional or mental health issues, including children with more difficult behaviours.

A note to parents and guardians
We encourage you to be involved in your child’s education with us, as we believe working together is key to their child’s success. We will ask you how much information you want from us, how frequently you want it, and how you prefer to receive it (email, phone call, letter etc). You will receive frequent updates from staff and you will also be invited into Buzz Learning to meet with staff at least once each term, to discuss your child’s progress.
Buzz’s college operates next door to the school and delivers education and training to learners aged from 16 to 24 who have special educational needs and/ or disabilities. The College has been in operation since 2004 and is graded Good by Ofsted, the most recent inspection being in July 2017. A copy of the inspection report can be downloaded here.
